2025 FOUNDRESS DAY AWARD

The Foundress Day Award recognizes a member of our school community who embodies the admirable qualities of St. Julie Billiart, the founder of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, and the inspiration behind Notre Dame Academy. St. Julie, often referred to as "The Smiling Saint," was characterized by her joyful demeanor, simplicity, and unwavering trust in the goodness of God.

Congratulations to Nathanael Chartier, NDA religion teacher and recipient of Notre Dame Academy’s 2025 Foundress Day Award!

Mr. Chartier demonstrates the virtues exemplified by St. Julie. He exhibits care and selflessness within our school community, holds God as a central figure in their life, and radiates simplicity and joy. The Kindness Award at Notre Dame Academy recognizes and celebrates the positive impact of actions in fostering a caring, respectful, and supportive environment. The award highlights the importance of kindness as a core value, encouraging students to go beyond academic achievements and demonstrate compassion, empathy, and generosity towards others.

This award recognizes NDA's commitment promote a culture of respect and inclusion, believing that small acts of kindness can have a big impact on the community. Guided by the Seven Hallmarks of a Notre Dame de Namur Learning Community, we continue practicing kindness in our everyday lives, understanding that these qualities are just as important as academic success.
