 Suzanne Lavigne Gibbs '86During the pandemic, Suzanne Lavigne Gibbs ’86 was determined to make the world a better place. She leveraged her husband's memory and his wish to give back to their community for all the support they received during his illness and after his death.

Suzanne worked with three friends to start Peninsula School for Boys. The school just admitted their 3rd class, and next year will have boys in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Learn more about the school here!

Kara Mancini Morton '97After 17 years at the Shady Hill School, Cambridge, MA, as a math and science teacher, Kara Mancini Morton '97 has made the move to higher education on a full-time basis. She was recently appointed to Assistant Professor (tenure-track) at Salem State University in the McKeown School of Education. She works with both undergraduate and graduate students, supervises graduate students in their job placements, and serves on a variety of committees from DE&I to STEM initiatives. It is truly a dream come true for Kara after so many years in the K-8 classroom. She and her husband Matt have two children, Henry (9) and William (5) who happily attend the Catholic elementary school in their hometown of Lynnfield. They are their pride and joy!

Nina Dow '00Nina Dow '00 has joined Bowditch as Of Counsel in the Estate, Financial & Tax Planning practice in the firm’s Worcester office. At Bowditch, she will continue to focus her practice on planning to minimize transfer taxes, including estate and tax planning that involves charitable giving, business succession planning, the representation of corporate and individual fiduciaries, and planning for individuals with special needs.

Additionally, as a full-service law firm, Bowditch offers a broad spectrum of legal services, including employment and labor, real estate, litigation, and business matters. Congratulations, Nina, on your new position!

Patricia Esper '66 will be playing the role of Winifred Snow in Studio Theatre Worcester's upcoming production of Into the Breeches!, running from December 9-18. Into the Breeches! is a heart-warming and hilarious show set in the 1940s about women taking charge back home while the men go off to fight the war. Elena Palladino '03 next to the cover of her new bookElena Larson Palladino '03, an author and historian, is happy to share that her book was published on October 10, 2022. Lost Towns of the Swift River Valley: Drowned by the Quabbin is a history of the Quabbin Reservoir, Boston's water supply. In this book, Elena recounts the story of these communities as seen through the eyes of those who lived there until the end.
