Scholarships

Notre Dame Academy is excited to announce our 2026-2027 Scholarship opportunities. Please note: In order to apply for any scholarship, you must have submitted a complete NDA Admission Application or be a current student at NDA. Please submit scholarship statements to admissions@nda-worc.org. Be sure to include the scholarship names on your statements. Students are allowed to apply for more than one scholarship. Applications are due March 15, 2026.

The Eileen M. Kneeland Memorial Scholarship

The Eileen M. Kneeland Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in January, 2024 by Eileen's husband David and family to honor Eileen’s legacy of bravery and grace while overcoming adversity. Eileen was a proud member of the NDA Class of ’80 and excelled academically and in the extra-curricular life of the Academy. She was a gifted three-sport athlete and captain (Field Hockey , Basketball, and Softball) who was elected into the Notre Dame Academy Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022. This scholarship is awarded to an incoming 9th grader every four years and can renew each year if student remains in good academic standing with a clean disciplinary record at NDA.

To apply for the Eileen M. Kneeland Memorial Scholarship, please submit a short essay on the following topic: In the face of adversity, people often discover strengths they did not know they possessed. Describe a situation that brought out unexpected qualities in you and how you used them to overcome the difficulties. Scholarship essay should be sent to admissions@nda-worc.org and must include the scholarship name, Eileen M. Kneeland Memorial Scholarship. Students must have completed NDA Admission Application & Enrollment to be eligible for the scholarship.

This scholarship is not available for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

The Sister Mary Elizabeth Broderick Scholarship

The Sister Mary Elizabeth Broderick Scholarship was established by Notre Dame Academy in 2001 to honor the years of service given by Sr. Mary Elizabeth to NDA (1951 - 1961, 1977 - 2001). It is awarded at the discretion of the Head of School following a recommendation from the NDA Scholarship Committee, to the daughter, granddaughter, sister, or niece of a graduate of the Academy. This $1000 scholarship will be given to one rising 7th grader and one rising 9th grader, and the scholarship will follow the student during her tenure at NDA.

To apply: Please write a statement answering these questions: How have you been influenced by your relative who graduated from Notre Dame Academy? Using what you learned from your relative how will you contribute to the NDA Community? Students must have completed NDA Admission Application & Enrollment to be eligible for the scholarship

The Alfreda McTigue Scholarship

The Alfreda McTigue Scholarship was established in 2000 by Suzanne McTigue Magaziner in loving memory of her mother. This scholarship is awarded to a financial aid recipient for exceptional academic achievement and character. This $500 scholarship will be given to one rising 9th grader and will follow the student during her tenure at NDA.

To apply: Please write a statement using this prompt: Notre Dame Academy students are known to be bold, driven, and joyful. Pick one of those words, and describe a time when you showed that attribute in an academic or service setting. Students must have completed NDA Admission Application & Enrollment to be eligible for the scholarship

The Susan Elizabeth Gordon Scholarship

The Susan Elizabeth Gordon Scholarship was established in 2007 by Anne and Bennett Gordon, Jr., in loving memory of their daughter Susan, Class of 1987. This $1250 scholarship is awarded to a rising 7th, 8th, or 9th grader particularly interested in the arts. This scholarship will follow the student during her tenure at NDA.

To apply: Please write a statement describing your interest in the arts and how you will contribute to the arts at Notre Dame Academy. Applicants are encouraged to include up to three photographs showing the student's art or the student's participation in the arts. Students must have completed NDA Admission Application & Enrollment to be eligible for the scholarship

The Sister Evelyn McKenna Scholarship

The Sister Evelyn McKenna Scholarship was established in 2015 in honor of Sr. Evelyn who taught religion at NDA from 1974 to 2015. This $850 scholarship will be given to a rising 7th, 8th, or 9th grader who has excelled in religious studies the previous year at Notre Dame Academy or another Catholic School. This scholarship is for one year only.

To apply: Please provide a signed statement from your religious studies teacher sharing your grade, and describing your participation and achievement in religious studies. Students must have completed NDA Admission Application & Enrollment to be eligible for the scholarship

Pay-It-Forward Community Service Scholarship

The Pay-It-Forward Scholarship was established in 2020 as a compliment to NDA's Signature Community Service Program, Love-In-Action. The scholarship funds up-to 25% of tuition; recipients (& family members) are asked complete 60 hours of volunteer/community service time preferably during the school year. This scholarship automatically renews if the service requirement is met. Seniors must complete the requirement prior to graduation. For the 25-26 academic year, this scholarship is open to two incoming 7th graders.

To apply for the Pay-It-Forward Scholarship, please submit a short essay on the following topic: How can engaging in community service can expose you to diverse perspectives and experiences, broadening your understanding of the world and fostering inclusivity and tolerance.
