Position Summary
Notre Dame Academy seeks a full-time, year-round Chief Advancement Officer. Reporting directly to the Principal and serving as a member of the senior Administrative Leadership Team, the Chief Advancement Officer will oversee a fully integrated advancement effort for NDA. Joining a personal community that honors diversity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategy, design, and coordination of philanthropy and engagement for an advancement program that is strong and embraced by the NDA community. In addition, the Chief Advancement Officer will manage the Donor Database and Alumnae Relations Manager, Major Gifts Officer, and Marketing and Communications Specialist.
The Chief Advancement Officer will have proven competency in campaign design and implementation, annual giving, constituent relations, and major gifts, and planned giving, with a particular emphasis on increasing alumnae and parent engagement. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader who is enthusiastic about NDA’s fundraising potential. This leader will inspire the entrepreneurial and creative initiatives needed to maximize results and broaden the number and nature of relationships across the school, all levels, and in the community in order to increase philanthropic support for school priorities.

Essential Duties
- Oversee and implement strategies that ensure a steady and sustainable growth in philanthropic giving and the engagement of parents and alumnae.

Director of Annual Giving & Engagement
JOB DESCRIPTION
Notre Dame Academy, Worcester, is seeking a dynamic donor engagement generalist to advance the Academy’s Annual Fund and engage alumnae, their families, and community supporters. The Director of Annual Giving & Engagement reports to the Principal/Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) and works with the Advancement team to build and execute strategies for acquiring new donors, emphasizing increasing alumni participation, upgrading current donors, and re-engaging lapsed donors. They will participate in securing sponsorships and promoting donor engagement for fundraisers, annual giving, and alumnae relations events.
This position reports to the Principal/Chief Advancement Officer and participates as a collaborative team member in the Office of Advancement with the Major Gifts Officer, Donor Database & Alumnae Relations Manager, and Marketing & Communications Specialist. They will also collaborate with the Director of Admissions and other faculty and administration. While the focus will be fundraising and donor engagement, they will serve as an ambassador of Notre Dame Academy, showcasing the core values of Character, Community and Commitment while honoring the Hallmarks of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Annual Fund
● Driving the Annual Fund, managing a portfolio of donors with the capacity to give up to $5,000 through effective communications, strategies, implementation, and stewardship.
● Develop plans with the Team to increase donor acquisition, retention, and upgraded gifts based on Annual Fund best practices paired with data analytics and the use of various communication tools.
● Write and produce compelling content for the Annual Fund. Work with the Advancement Team to produce direct mail and digital solicitations.
● Exhibit a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy based on data.
● With the Advancement Team, design and achieve annual fund-raising objectives by managing all daily operations for annual giving programs.

Alumni Relations

Events Coordination

Stewardship Management
● Responsible for fundraising, stewardship, and campaign activities, particularly as applies to the Annual Fund, donor engagement, and events.
● Coordinate Stewardship opportunities and content to keep donors up to date on their gifts and aware of their impact and happenings at Notre Dame Academy in their areas of interest and the Academy as a whole.
● Participate in prospect development and assignment strategies in conjunction with the Major Gift Officer and Donor Database and Alumnae Relations Manager
Communications, Marketing, and Advertising
● Collaborate in the production of marketing and advertising collateral to promote annual giving campaigns and alumni events through flyers, web and campaign pages, digital marketing, and direct mail outreach, working with both the Advancement and Marketing teams.
● Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Specialist on social media and other e-communications in collaboration with fundraising opportunities and promotion of annual giving.
● Update Donor information and analyze data from the CRM to drive and track annual fund goals.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Director will provide results-focused leadership and strategic vision for the Student Support Center. More specifically, the Director oversees academic support, including tutoring, accessibility services, and enhancement of all academic skills in all disciplines. The Director will partner with faculty members to build capacity on the pedagogy and approaches to improve student learning and accessibility. The director will be proactive to design Student Success Plans. He/she will work with the Admissions Director to review new student applications and serve as part of the Enrollment Committee for admissions decisions. This is a 12-month position.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Oversee the design and delivery of up to date academic support services that fosters student learning and that is consistent with the mission of Notre Dame Academy.
2. Provide outreach, training, and resources for faculty members and staff regarding issues affecting student learning and accessibility.
3. Coordinate academic support and advising with the Principal, Assistant Principal, and
Department Heads; collaborate with the Principal or designee on the academic prep courses;
and collaborate with the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management.
4. Serve as the Coordinator of Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD).
5. Provide training for academic tutors, including faculty, staff, volunteers, and student peer tutors.
6. Serve on the Principal’s Educational Leadership Team.
7. Fulfill the obligations and duties as assigned by the Principal.
8. Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Student Support Center through subject tutoring or study skill development, or work with at-risk students one on one or in small groups.
9. Provide overall supervision of Student Support Center volunteers, faculty, staff, and students

development, and ensure staff remains up to date with training

EDUCATION:

● Approve, coordinate, and oversee all school-wide projects related to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major technology systems to ensure appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems.
PLANNING:
● Work with the school’s academic and administrative leadership to develop and maintain a forward-looking technology plan in support of the school’s mission.
● Work with the Facilities Director regarding capital improvements in technology, such as network design, building automation, and emergency response.
● Serve as a member of the school’s Professional Development Committee.
BUDGETING:
● Work with the Business Manager to prepare and follow the Annual Operating Budget for school-wide technology operations, including funds for hardware and software, supplies and equipment, maintenance and repair, leases and purchases, consulting services, and contracted service agreements.
● Research funding sources for technology and prepare grant requests.
● Solicit quotes and prepare timely purchase orders for technology-related products and services, and maintain electronic recordkeeping.

● Negotiate service agreements with contracted technology vendor
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR:
● Oversee the distribution and repair of end-user technology equipment, such as computers, monitors, laptops, tablets, printers, copiers, projectors, audio systems and related equipment, to ensure that these items are properly installed and functioning at optimum levels, and that students, faculty, staff, and administrators can use these technologies efficiently and effectively. ● Serve as lead field technician to install, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software required to run the school’s data and communications infrastructures efficiently and securely, such as cable/fiber modems, firewalls/content filters, VPN gateways, switches, servers, battery backup and data backup components, antivirus and ransomware protection, and software licensing.
● Work with the school’s administrative leadership to establish policies and procedures regarding loaner devices for students with documented financial or medical accommodations.
TRAINING:
● Coordinate training opportunities for faculty, staff, and administrators which affords them the knowledge needed to operate school-wide computer systems, software, and multimedia devices successfully.
● Work with faculty members, who have a proven record of integrating educational technology into the curriculum, to write self-help documents and conduct training for teachers interested in adding multimedia resources to their own classroom instruction.
● Work with staff members, who have a demonstrated knowledge of specific hardware, software or processes, to write self-help documents and conduct training for staff.
● Work with the school’s academic leadership to instruct new families on BYOD device recommendations, portal navigation, and data privacy.
● Work with the Director of Enrollment to instruct new students about the school’s policy on digital citizenship.
SECURITY:
● Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the protection of technology assets and the integrity, security, and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the school’s information systems.
● Work with the Registrar and the school’s academic leadership to evaluate special requests for parental access to the school portal and other platforms.
● Ensure the security of all school-wide data and communications systems such as Internet, email, and phone.
● Develop and maintain an information backup and system recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of school-wide data and/or technology services after a hardware failure, fire, natural disaster, cyber attack, or other catastrophic event
OTHER:
● Perform other technology-related functions as directed by the Principal.
● The Technology Director operates on a 12-month calendar versus the regular school year calendar. Attendance is expected Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and whenever needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience; Master’s degree and/or 10 years of experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
● Ability to work at a workstation for long periods of time.
● Ability to use a computer monitor and keyboard for long periods of time.
● Ability to carry up to 25 pounds
