$2 Million Lead Gift Is Received, Largest Gift in School’s History

Worcester – The Sisters of Notre Dame and the Board of Trustees of Notre Dame Academy announce plans for a new addition to the school along with renovations to the existing facilities.

The multi-faceted project will further enhance the school’s commitment to a well-rounded college preparatory curriculum incorporating the arts & sciences.  The new addition includes: an art studio and gallery with the latest computer technology for graphic art design; a technologically advanced music studio enhancing the study of music theory and composition; and a student center/cafeteria to accommodate a broad range of programs to enrich student life.  Extensive renovations are also planned to upgrade the existing science labs, classrooms and theater which will integrate state of the art learning capabilities.

$4.5 million dollars is the anticipated cost of the total project.  An anonymous donor has committed $2 million to The Future Fund project.  This is the largest gift in the history of Notre Dame Academy.  According to Sr. Ann Morrison SND, principal of the school, “We are deeply grateful for such a generous gift and such a tremendous vote of confidence in the mission of Notre Dame Academy.”  To date, commitments totaling nearly $3 million have been received.
