Dear Friends of Notre Dame Academy,

As we look to the future it is always helpful to look back to where we began. The past provides insight about our formation and who we have become along the journey. This is practical on a personal level and also as an institution committed to providing young women with challenging academic standards and an educational experience rooted in faith.

As I look back over my years as principal, it is a privilege to have witnessed so many young women begin their journeys here, see them grow, mature and discover their special God‑given gifts. Notre Dame Academy has always been a school where each young woman is valued for who she is and who she will become.

As each new student passes through our gate and enters the campus for the first time, her Notre Dame journey begins. Since our first class of 34 students in 1951, over 3,400 competent and confident young women have graduated from NDA prepared to responsibly assume roles of compassionate leadership in the global community.

Our teachers are committed to what is best for each student. Every young woman is unique which makes each individual journey distinct. We stand proud of our tradition to nurture students' talents and strengths while helping to build confidence and a sense of values and responsibility instilled at home.

After detailed study by the Board of Trustees working with faculty and administration, it has been determined that we must provide students with increased space to enhance specific areas central to their journeys here. A new addition is planned and it will be an historic undertaking.
