PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy of education at Notre Dame Academy, a college preparatory school for young women, is built on the belief that education should prepare students for their role as Christian women. We wish to provide Notre Dame students with the opportunity to become more aware of what is happening in their lives and to assume responsibility for themselves and their communities.
In order to learn to make responsible choices, our students have the freedom to learn in a school dedicated to high academic standards, and to involve themselves in the community, both utilizing its resources and serving its people.

Advanced level courses in all major subjects and levels 4 and 5 in foreign language constitute sufficient preparation for Advanced Placement examinations. Students are encouraged to avail themselves of this opportunity. Placement in advanced classes is determined by the academic department.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Opportunities for community service are provided as a requirement in the religious studies program. Students in grades 11 and 12 volunteer two hours per week in a variety of direct service capacities.
