FRIDAY, JANUARY 12, 2018 - Day 10

Spirit week is next week, so get excited! Starting Tuesday, we have USA day! Deck out in red white and blue and show that USA pride. Wednesday is tacky tourist day! So break out your Hawaiian shirts and slather some sunscreen on to protect from that strong New England winter sun! Thursday is Meme day. Think pictures, videos, hashtags or any other circulating online concept you find entertaining.  Dress up as your favorite funny internet trend and go all out! Remember to keep it appropriate for school though. Friday is class color day. Seventh graders are yellow, freshmen are purple, sophomores are green, juniors are blue, seniors are pink, and faculty is black! Wear as much of your color as possible - from glasses, to tutus, to face paint, and more - prove which class has the most spirit. Spirit week will end with class games in the gym...so gear up to have some fun!

Senior Arts Projects: All seniors that are doing dance for their senior projects to please see Mrs. Head for a brief meeting at the end of the day today in the auditorium.

French Immersion Day at Bancroft: Bancroft School is holding a French Immersion Day on Saturday, January 27 and has invited our students to come and participate! Breakfast and lunch will be served. In fact, cooking "le dejeuner" is part of the planned activities. French language students from Notre Dame have participated for the last three years and always find that they have a good time. Ms. Phoenix will also be there to provide a little "moral support" if necessary, but also to use this opportunity to practice her French. The cost is $25.00 (check made out to Bancroft School). Please contact Ms. Phoenix to get more information or to sign up for the event.  She strongly recommends that anyone going to France with NDA this summer join this event if at all possible (one of the discussions is about Normandy), as well as any other interested 9-12 grade students. This is a great activity for GPS as well. Come to the library for more info and please let me know by Friday, January 22. Merci !

Elevator Policy:  In the interest of good health and safety, students should use the stairs unless they have medical issues. These medical issues must be on file in the nurse's office.

“Into the Woods” - Friday dance rehearsal for Cinderella’s Birds.
