Alumnae Gather in Boston and Washington

Boston regional alumnae leaders Elizabeth O'Connor-Bartlett '96, Marissa Holland '01, Meaghan O'Rourke '03 and Elizabeth Hennigan '05 played host to Boston area alumnae on April 4 at a brunch held on Atlantic Avenue at the Mercantile Wharf Building. The graduates, many of whom had not known they were "neighbors" in the Boston area, enjoyed renewing friendships and discussing careers and family with old and new friends. Special thanks to Nancy O'Connor, Elizabeth's mother, for her delicious refreshments and to Joan Grady, Elizabeth's godmother, for the use of her beautiful condo with the picture postcard views of Boston.

Lois Romano '70 graciously opened her Washington, D.C. home to twenty-three NDA alumnae for the annual Cherry Blossom Luncheon.  Lois, a reporter and columnist for The Washington Post for the last twenty-nine years, announced at the luncheon that she was leaving the Post to join the staff of Tina Brown's The Daily Beast and Newsweek.  She entertained the gathering with "inside stories" of Washington politics and the Washington social scene.
